AI Detector lives at aidetector.co.za. It is a small, bright site for a noisy problem: work that might be human, machine, or a handshake between the two.

We built it for journalists, teachers, hiring managers, and anyone who has stared at a paragraph and thought, “this is too smooth.” Scanning happens in this tab. The file is read to produce a score, then discarded. We only keep an anonymous filename, file type, score, verdict and time for site stats.

Mixed is a respectable verdict. A percentage is AI-likelihood, not proof of authorship. What this score is — and is not.

The house is run from an Owner’s Desk behind an email login — ads, banners, and settings. Visitors never need an account to scan.
